Eve Garrard
Eve Garrard is senior lecturer in the Centre for Professional Ethics at Keele University in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Keele, she worked for several years for the Open University, and has a strong interest in teaching philosophy to adult beginning students. Much of her teaching is now in applied ethics, to health care (and other) professionals. Her research interests are in moral theory (especially theory of motivation); applied ethics, including bioethics; and also philosophical issues connected with the idea of evil. She has published papers on the nature of evil and of forgiveness, and has co-edited a book on moral philosophy and the Holocaust.
She is a signatory of the Euston Manifesto, and a guest-blogger on normblog. She has been involved in arguing against the academic boycott since its first serious manifestations in 2005.
